Simple Guidelines for this Forum

Here's the deal... we don't want your run-of-the-mill announcements and press releases here. I know... you might have spent a lot of time perfecting that press release to make it newsworthy/informative, but I want to inspire a creative approach here.
You're welcome to make announcements here (related to stuff you've written, to publishers promoting their writers, writing-related events, writing-related articles/sites... if there's writing involved somewhere, you'll have a good shot of us letting it stand), but the goal here is to be entertaining as well as informative. Make it an announcement that's memorable. Extra points for humorous bits.
What happens if it's not entertaining? Well... when we pop on by to do some cleaning in this forum (every week or every month... haven't decided yet), the entertaining ones will stay, and our favorites could possibly get stickied to the top of the forum (for some extra attention).
