Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience.

Where to go ... Limited Series, Regular series?
Posted: 2007/04/14 08:21
I've decided to make a go of writing some comic scripts. I have absolutely no knowledge of the medium besides a healthy fascination for most of my life. I have tried novels, short stories, but nothing published so far (only a couple attempts, one still in process.)
Anyways, I'm putting together a script and, while I know it won't be magic on the first try, I want some advice. Most publishers want ten complete pages, but there are some that "say" they read script submissions. But how should I go about it ... should I start out small, one complete story, or build a major character story lasting twelve issues, or have a short limited series about four issues? Most publishers want a complete overview, too right? Oh I hope I made some sense. I'll ask some more questions soon, hope somehow can give me advice. Back to writing.
