Thanks, Elton, and you're welcome, Matt. I think there's a lot of good info here for our readers. Thanks for such detailed answers.

For those of you further interested in the artistic process that Matt describes in the interview, be sure to check out the "Behind the Scenes" section of his website.

New Making Good: Mark Sable and David Roth
Posted: 2007/11/06 05:38
I know it's been a long time, but my new Making Good column is up today. I interview Mark Sable and David Roth (co-writers of FEARLESS, tomorrow's new release from Image) on collaboration, why comics, overcoming obstacles and more. Plus take a look at their original script and compare it to the final pages as they will appear in issue 1!

Good interview, Caleb. It's nice to be able to put a name with a face in Mark's case.

The San Diego buzz has long since worn off for me. Now I could use a good shot of something equally inspirational -- or else just a few days off work in which to get my head on straight!

Elton

Glad you liked it, Elton! I think this is my favorite Making Good yet.

I know what you mean about buzz. I've decided to create my own buzz with a new 12-month writing/life project: [url=http://calebmonroe.com/category/my-leap-year/]My Leap Year[/url

We'll see how it goes!

New Making Good-The Agony and Ecstasy of Deadlines
Posted: 2008/02/06 05:48
Inspired by the low-grade insanity and unprofessionalism kicked up all over the Internet by last week's deadline for Image Shadowline's Who Wants to Create a Superheroine Contest, I've posted a new Making Good covering (what else?)...DEADLINES!

Nice column, Caleb. Very nifty idea to stockpile some topical questions like that. I'll look forward to seeing what else is coming down the pike.

For me, so far, deadlines are a great motivator and only a positive force in my writing life. No horror stories yet.
