Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

That was something we've tried to do since the very beginning, but it's very hard to find a writer who wanted to participate. Most of them already have a forum on their own site, and they're too busy to check other sites. But it's always been an option here.

I wonder if we could entice an professional editor to answer writing questions? Not pitches or anything to do to with submission, just the actually writing avenue.
How about a list of books on writing with a poll.
One thread for conventions - so people can meet up if they wish, if they have a table to say where and when, etc.
Marketing a Nobody - Something that people can get info on what avenues they can try, etc. There has to be more than t-shirts, there just has to be.
A slushy machine would be nice
Here's something to think about. We had the help wanted area, but it never did get the right kind of action. Should we have it again or not? If we get it back, how do we make it rock?
That's about it from the top of my sleepless mind.
(BTW, I'm using Firefox 2.0 and everything looks kick ass.)
Collected together for the first time the smash hit sold-out series! Check out previews at my comicspace page

A while back we had a mini-visit from Erik Larsen, right? He lent the forum a couple of pages of finished art and writers were supposed to write the dialogue and get some feedback from Larsen afterwards.
Was a cool idea that sorta died on the vine. But that kind of thing is sure to add excitement, ya know?

I didn't need yet another reason to respect the hell out of Erik Larsen, but here you are, giving me one. That's rad. Too bad I wasn't around for it.
