From the editor's perspective

I just came across the interesting blog of Jennifer de Guzman, editor at SLG.

She does a series where she goe through their slush pile of rejections and highlights creator mistakes. Check it out. Some good info.

Also, in case you missed them, be sure to check out Elton's interview with an editor from the Big Two, and my interview with a handful of top anthology editors. I think it can be very helpful to get to know the person (or at least the general perspectives) at the other end of your submission.

And here's another blog from an editor's perspective: this time Kris Simon of Image's Shadowline imprint.

Thanks for the links! Good infos and good laughs.

But why the *&%$! do people feel the need to make such obvious mistakes? I really don't know - and I'm not really sure I want to know...
